No more mess in the trunk
Most EV drivers charge their car frequently, this is not only done at home on the home charger but also regularly at a public charging station, here the portable charging cable that is supplied with the car is used.
Charging at a charging station is generally done outside or in parking garages and here the cable gets dirty, wet and results in dirty hands and clothes when handling the cable. After loading, the cable often ends up loose in the trunk where it takes up unnecessary space and slides back and forth while driving.
How do I unroll the cable?
Because of this handling, the cable often gets tangled and leaves dirt in the trunk.
At present, the solutions are limited to bags or cases, but these do not offer many advantages except for a way of storing them and it takes some effort to get the cable back into the bag and for this reason they are not often used and the cable ends often loose in the trunk.
Last year, consideration was given to a solution to these common problems and, in collaboration with a number of specialists, a cable reel was developed and recently produced.
How do I rewind the cable?
The EV cable reel has been developed to only handle the cable at the plugs without having to touch the cable itself and dirty hands and clothes are a thing of the past.
The EV cable reel ensures that the cable can no longer become entangled and can be neatly stowed away so that the cable can no longer slide and leaves dirt in the trunk.
Benefits of the EV-cable reel
The following is a summary of the benefits of the cable reel:
- No more dirty and wet hands by picking up the charging cable after use
- No more tangled or tangled charging cables
- Always easy and neat to store
- Extends the life of the cable
- Saves time when connecting the car to the charging station
- Promotes safety
- Saves space in the trunk
- No more dirt and moisture residue in the trunk coming from the charging cable
- Never again a sliding cable in the trunk while driving
Up to which cable length can I use the EV-reel?
The only requirement for this is that the charging plug on the charging station side of the cable is a type 2 plug.
The EV cable reel is supplied with a so-called docking station to hold the cable reel in place while driving.
EV-Reel is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) from Hyundai NL and the EV cable reel is therefore offered as an after-sales product on the Hyundai website.
