With the new Audi e-tron (50 or 55) quattro Audi introduces a new version of its electric SUV. In this SUV you can clearly see how the trusted design language of Audi has been translated into a new form of driving: fully electric. The style-defining characteristics, from both the inside and the outside, radiate one by one that the Audi e-tron quattro always runs electrically. Some of these features are the electric tailgate, the upholstery of the upholstery that remind you of power cables, the special day-row lighting and finally the lack of exhausts. To top it all, both the e-tron 50 quattro and the e-tron 55 quattro can be fitted with the new absolute design highlight: the Audi virtual mirrors.
Specifications of the Audi e-tron quattro
Because all four wheels of the Audi e-tron quattro are driven by two electric motors, the electric SUV accelerates very quickly from a standstill. With a torque of on average 550 Nm and a maximum power of on average 250 kW, which is equal to around 360 hp, an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is achieved in an average of 6.8 seconds. Furthermore, the fully electric SUV has a top speed of on average 195 km / h.
When, with all the power that this powerful SUV has, you drive away in full force, this force reminds you of the sports car and you would almost forget that you are in a car that has a total of 660 liters of luggage volume. This makes the SUV very suitable for long journeys.
Audi e-tron quattro charging cables
The e-tron quattro has a Mennekes connection and with that the charging cable needed for charging this car is a Type 2 cable. The charging time depends on the capacity of the charging station, the amount of current that the charging cable can carry (16A or 32A) and the limit with which the car can charge. With the Audi e-tron quattro, with both the 50 and 55 variants, that limit is 11 kW. You can use all 1- and 3-phase (16 and 32 Ampère) Type 2 cables with a Mennekes connection for charging the e-tron quattro, but the charging will not always be faster. To ensure that the charging speed is not limited by the cable, it is advisable to use a 3-phase 32A charging cable. View the range of Cable Soolutions Shop directly for the options.
Audi e-tron quattro charging stations
Because the Audi e / tron quattro has a load capacity of 11 kW, it is best to choose a charging station that can deliver that capacity. A 3-phase charging station supplies 3x230V. The standard capacity of this station is therefore 11 kW and, in combination with the 3-phase 32A charging cable, the right charging point for your e-tron 50 quattro and e-tron 55 quattro.
