I3 from before October 2018 (60kWh & 94kWh)
The first time BMW presented the i3 was in 2011 as a concept version. Secretly, BMW started designing it in 2007. The i3 is therefore the first model of the i-series from BMW. This was only introduced in 2013. The first variant has a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery. This brought the range to 160 kilometers. In 2017, the German manufacturer released a new version with a range of 310 kilometers. This is due to a larger battery of 33 kWh. Both variants are electrically powered by an electric motor. You can charge these using the charging products in the CableSoolutions shop.
Charging cable for the BMW i3
The BMW i3 needs to be electrically charged to increase the range. This is done using a type 2 charging cable, which you plug in on the car side and into a pole to charge. This charges the vehicle's battery, so you can hit the road with a full battery.
Charging point for the BMW i3
Charging the BMW i3 is possible via a public charging station. This does require a pass and a free place to charge parked. At home you can choose to charge via the socket or your own charging station. The charging time then depends on the power of the pole or socket. With this variant of the i3 is charged with 1 phase and 32A.
